The Nest, A Little Q & A, And A Laugh Attack

Nest Update

The four perfectly nestled egglets waiting to hatch in their cozy corner of our patio. We're not sure how long they've been in the nest, but we have noticed Mama Robin's attention to them has been unwavering. According to our google searches, it should take about 2 weeks to have baby birds in there instead of eggs. We'll be keeping our eye on them...

In the meantime...

A Little Q & A:

Q: So you're moving to Chicago?

A: Yes. Well, no. Well--kind of. We are moving to a suburb area outside and to the west of the city center. We will be far enough away to not feel so jumbled by the Windy City but close enough to enjoy some of the many perks!

Q: Where will Trevor be working, exactly?

A: As a consultant, he will always be out and about. Sometimes he will work at his office (which is located in another west-Chicago suburb about 30 minutes from our new place), sometimes he will be able to get some of his work done at home, but mostly he will be out on assignment doing his consulting THING. This will include areas of Chicago, some city center spots, and other surrounding areas (including Indiana, southern Wisconsin, and Iowa).

Q: So you found a place to live?

A: Yes. And I tell you what everything has come together in a way that points directly UP if you know what I mean. Within days of online searches (and one full Saturday of Trevor traveling down for a closer look), we found a townhouse that will be perfect for our growing family in a very safe, newer development. We will be signing the lease within the next week!

Q: Do you have a move date?

A: No. Well, not really--but we know it will be very soon. Trevor's employer is contracting with a moving company to pack, load, move, and unload all of our *stuff*. We are waiting for the official word from them on timing. We should be in our new place before the end of the month.

Q: Is this a permanent location?

A: As far as definition, yes this is a "permanent position" for Trevor's job. We do not know how long we'll stay there--Trevor's idea is to stay for a year and then re-evaluate. I can actually see us staying there for a few years...who knows?

Q: What's the overall feeling about it all?

A: We feel a mixture of emotions, but mostly we are excited to begin this next chapter in our lives! We have been waiting for the 'next move' ever since we moved here a year ago--but in the meantime we have made some dear friends that we will miss terribly! There is some anxiety about finding a new birthing team and hospital set up...that is one of my main goals for this week.

Q: Any more questions?

Jumping Tiger, Laughing Toddler

This video was taken one night when I was out and Trevor was home with J.
The funniest part (to me) is not the adorable laughing toddler (though he is hilariously cute), but the mirror that shows us what is making J laugh so hard!

Take a minute to enjoy some belly laughs:

That was too adorable to watch the both of them. I love daddies! Congratulations on your next move! Are you excited? Not so fun doing a move while pregnant I am sure, but I know that you will do AWESOME as always!
