Photo taken on our way out from our church meetings yesterday: Father's Day
We rushed from oatmeal to hair brushing to buttoning ties
(what? you don't have a button-on tie?)
Then we rejoiced in listening, sharing, and singing
(J always makes sure everyone in the congregation hears him singing)
After that we gathered, hugged, and goodbye-ed
(Goodbyes are not my strong point. I just try to avoid them and say "we'll be in touch!")
A few photos, a drive home, and a quick lunch later...
It was Sunday afternoon and all was still.
I could see the stress on my darling's face--this is move week.
We had a list of To Do's but ignored them for a few minutes.
We talked about the last two years, fatherhood and moments of great joy--
A gift was given and sweet Daddy-praises were offered...
Phone calls were made, a Daily Double
Even with the rush of it all and the day-late posting,
I have to say--
Happy Father's Day!!

and the Dad who rocks my little boy's world
(and mine).
