Saturday Ski Stop

This last weekend was alive with winter sports--the Badger State Games were going on all around us!

We decided that we needed to experience some of the wintery fun, so we set out for the ski runs...

...and enjoyed walking around! :)

Neither Trevor nor I have ever had much success downhill skiing, nor do we have the equipment (or interest in spending $ to rent)--so we just went to check out the scene. I tell you what--it's a serious thing! There were TONS of people...snowboarding & skiing...all walking around in their best snow gear & taking to the slopes. We enjoyed the atmosphere & ate some bratwurst and called it an afternoon!
We regret that we missed the opening ceremonies for the games and that we didn't check out some of the other fascinating winter sports (like curling. I know nothing about curling). Maybe next year?
