Getting Older Ain't So Bad

For my birthday, I...

-enjoyed a lazy morning
-cuddled with my favorite toddler
-put on my shiny pearl necklace
-added my fashion glasses to complete the look (older & wiser?)
-read many birthday greetings in my inbox
-met up with these girls for a very special, very fun birthday lunch:
Amy (& C), Charity, Me (& J), & Leesa (with E)

-received a dozen roses from my hubby
-enjoyed reading dozens of facebook birthday wishes (!!)
-received lovely purple tulips from my home girl
-finished a crafty project during J's nap & straightened the casa
-ordered Japanese takeout (orange chicken, why do you tempt me so?)
-had a fabulous dinner w/my favorite boys
-blew out a candle--representing, you know...30 candles...

-watched some Olympics
-read some Curious George
-cuddled on the couch
-wrote in my journal
-kissed my man
-went to bed early...a very blessed 30 year old!

**Thank you for your emails, messages, phone calls, comments, cards, and gifts!
I felt SO loved all day long--thanks to YOU!**

Wish I could have been there, but so glad you have many others there to care so much! I still can't believe you are 30, but I am getting more used to the idea, every day.

Shara,
A very happy belated birthday to you. You're 30? Really? How come all the 30 yr olds seemed so much older when we were teenagers?! I'm so glad you were showered with love. And so sorry I missed it.

I feel like I was in a black hole for the month of Feb. Lots of sickness, no blogging. Ick. Anyway, it's March and I'm looking forward to better days and trying to emerge from my cocoon!
