Shop, Shop, Ice Cream!

Jen asked me: "So, did you want to go to IKEA while you're here?"

And I said: "Yes Please!"

In Wisconsin, our closest IKEA is a little over 3 hrs away (in Minnesota), so an easy trip to IKEA is always a great idea!

There are 3 main things I love about IKEA:
1. The fun/funky styles (& tons of decorating ideas throughout the displays)
2. The kid-friendly layout
3. The Swedish meatballs (and other such Swedish fabulousness)

We had lunch at IKEA, browsed their many shelves & displays, and left without spending too much cash. A morning well spent!
That same evening we went on another shopping trip--this time, to LL Bean. The weather forecasts were wayyy off so I was ill-prepared for the cold, rain, & snow that Boston had to offer. PLUS I was in the market for a serious winter coat for my upcoming experience with Winter in Wisconsin (yes, it is serious enough to deserve capitals).

I am not a typical girl shopper--I like to get in & get out--but when I'm making such a serious decision (by spending the cash, and needing it to be cute and winter-resilient), I need my time. Thankfully Jen was by my side the entire time--giving me helpful hints (like the You Must Get One With A Hood discussion), and honest criticism. She was excellent at helping me figure out what I wanted!

After I made my choice, we walked across the parking lot for dessert: Cold Stone.
I can't think of a better way to end a day of browsing & shopping!
