"I just stepped out of the room for 2 seconds..."
Author's note: It was really about 10 minutes, and I was in the same room--on the phone with my Dad. I figured a screaming child wasn't worth the fight while I was on the phone...didn't realize how much damage was done!

I was going to say "REALLY? TWO SECONDS?????!!!!" thinking, that kid is FAST FAST FAST! Ok, 10 minutes.
How long did it take to put it back?
Tell your dad..."GOTTA GO, CATCH yoU LATER!" cuz you gotta nip that IN THE BUD!
J might have really enjoyed that deconstruction!
It is amazing how quickly it can be torn apart and how loonnngggg it takes to clean up!!!
HA! Looks my bookshelfs all the time!
Ahhh! I understand. We are having to child proof everything again.
Huh? That's not what your house looks like ALL the time?! I thought that was normal! Well, it is at my house :)
Anyways, gotta give your major brownie points for having a copy of Glenn Latham's Positive Parenting book. I LOVE IT & LIVE BY IT!
The damage gets worse as kids grow older- they'll tear the whole house up any time you jump on the computer or make a quick phone call. TRUST ME! I don't even answer the phone anymore if I'm alone with all the boys and they're all awake.
So I'm super late, but I just wanted to say:
EXACTLY!!
Seriously, in three seconds an amazing amount of damage can be done. Especially when they find scissors. And they know how to use them. Or sharpies. Those are really bad, too.
