Thursday of our Chicago trip was wide open...whatever we wanted to do, we could.
So, we had a lazy morning (after a particularly challenging night: TEETHING) and then headed into the Big City for a day at the zoo!
It wasn't hard to find the area of the zoo (thanks to Jeeves-the-GPS), but strangely difficult to navigate around to where the parking was. It was one long strip (probably was a street before) instead of a large parkinglot as I assumed it would be.
HOWEVER, we made it! I was so proud of myself for really driving IN the city to find the zoo.
Lincoln Park Zoo is a free* zoo & it was lots of fun!

J was just as interested in the pigeons as anything else...
It was a successful excursion into Chicago (and the drive out of the city wasn't nearly as bad as I had suspected it would be...only took twice as long as it should have!)

ok, that picture of baby J eating the pickle seriously makes me want to eat one now. How on earth did you get him to eat a pickle?!
Ummm...he eats EVERYTHING & ANYTHING. I kid you not.
