After Trevor finished his 3 days of meetings, we headed to downtown Chicago for one more night. We found a rockin' deal on priceline (note to self: priceline does not give you a deal on parking) to stay at the Chicago Hilton. It was fabulous!
Friday night we enjoyed a lovely evening of discovery in Grant Park & Millenium Park--right across the street from our hotel!

It was the perfect evening to walk around & soak up the view of the city, the park, and Lake Michigan!

There was a outdoor symphony concert (free) at this awesome amphitheatre. We hung out for a bit and then went on to explore some more. It was a really cool set up, people bring their chairs, blankets, dinner and enjoy an evening of fine music outside.

We were looking for it...and finally found
THE BEAN
If you go under the sculpture & look up--this is what you see--

Awesome.

We walked around a few more areas and then stopped in this sushi place for dinner...yum-o.
Unfortunately J wasn't very interested in sitting inside...so we had to eat super fast & get outa there!

The cityscape at night was breathtaking, romantic, and invigorating...

We loved our romantic walk around downtown Chicago. Even in the rain. It was perfect.

This looks so fun! I've always wanted to visit Chicago. Lucky you!
Looks like you had a great time in Chicago. We have made plans twice to go there (Alan has a friend who lives there) and each time something comes up. Maybe we will make it there someday. Your pictures make me want plan another trip and hope that we can go.
